Hoodia Gordonii is a succulent plant growing naturally in the semi-dessert parts of South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Angola. It is believed that the San-Bushmen were the first to make use of these cacti–like plants by taking it when they went on extensive hunting trips, to suppress hunger and thirst.
